Bluefin tuna

http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/Giant-tuna-fetches-record-apf-858529627.html?x=0

The japanese had caught a giant bluefin tuna off coast northern japan was really a coup as it was an 342Kg tuna that was auctioned off for $396000, about the price of a 4 room flat here in singapore,

This has shown that tuna, is a very popular fish with the asians or more specifically, the japanese. In singapore, where they are willing to pay a very high price for such meat, the tuna is a very fast declining species as too many countries are overfishing in the atlantic and pacific oceans without letting the fishes regenerate itself.

Personally, I like the tuna meat as it is very tender and juicy, with alot of flavours and i would fork out the money for tuna, as when served in japanese restaurants, it is very fresh. Thus, in response to this news, I am not surprised by the price of the Tuna fish as i believe that many people who enjoys sashimi or seafood would be willing to fork out such a price for the food.
